SHAMAN HEALING

There are many traditional and non-traditional healing types that have existed throughout the ages of time. Traditional medicines are always changing and although some prove to effective many still question what we actually putting into our bodies. What are we sacrificing in the long term for today’s modern health practices?

SHAMANISN HEALING SERVICE

Shaman Healing Shaman Healing (also known as Shamanic Healing) uses the same approach that has been used for over 25,000 years. While subtle differences change over time the core principles are consistent and will always remain the same with Shaman Healing. Shaman Healing uses both a spiritual and medicinal practice that has a grounded foundational belief that all healing is rooted into spirituality. During the shamanic healing process the shaman will enter alternate states of consciousness to contact different realms of reality. One main purpose is to assist the person with sickness in connecting to and rediscovering nature and spirit.

In Shamanic Healing the Shaman has the responsibility for the health and well being of people within the community. This health includes a balance for both the physical and spiritual world. Shamans are the link between the people within the community and the world of spirituality acting as a mediator of sorts. The Shaman within the community is regarded as the ritual leader and herbalist. Healing by a Shaman embraces and affects the energy field surrounding a person.

The history of medicine on the other hand can be summarized in this short poem by an anonymous author:

2000 BC Here, eat this root.

1000 BC That root is heathen. Here, say this prayer.

1805 AD That prayer is superstition. Here, drink this potion.

1940 AD That potion is snake oil. Here, swallow this pill.

1985 AD That pill is ineffective. Here, take this antibiotic.

2000 AD That antibiotic doesn’t work anymore. Here, eat this root…

To truly understand Shaman Healing an individual must first respect and understand the role of a Shaman and essential concepts of Shamanism. Shaman healing works by communicating and primarily focusing on spirituality to invoke change, which in turn is reflected into the reality of the physical world.
