Program Overview

Arrival/Check-in: You will arrive by plane in beautiful Costa Rica at the Liberia Airport, where we pick you up. There is no need to arrange any transportation—we provide it for you.

It’s about a half hour drive back to the Iboga House in Buena Vista, a peaceful little town north of Liberia, in the province of Guanacaste.

Upon arriving at the Iboga House, one of our friendly staff members
will greet you, show you to your room and provide you with a tour of our house and facilities.

After the tour, we check you in. You will fill out one of our
administration forms and one of our staff members will go over the program, as well as provide some basic guidelines and suggestions to make your stay as enjoyable & comfortable as possible.

Following our check-in, you will meet with Moughenda and have your first in
person screening. This screening will give Moughenda the information he needs to determine what it is you require in terms of your experience, and to set the actual day of your treatment or ceremony.

Iboga Treatment/Journey: Either on the same day or the day before your ceremony, you will receive what is called a Spiritual Shower, in preparation for your Iboga journey. This involves being driven by Moughenda to a chosen place at the nearby river to be cleansed. It is a powerful experience for many. Those suffering from demons and curses often find this to be the most impactful part of the entire experience here at the Iboga House.

Your treatment/ceremony will then begin after 7pm on the specified date, and will be led by Moughenda.

After you have ingested the Iboga root bark, full alkaloid pills, or Iboga tea, you will be guided through the Journey by Moughenda and his healing assistants.

Following the guided stage of your journey, you will return to your room to for the remainder of the night, accompanied by Bwiti music, and with the full support of our 24-hour aftercare team.

Post Treatment Vacation Stay: You can expect to be resting and recovering the next day or two. During this time and throughout the remainder of your stay, you will receive extremely valuable counseling from Moughenda, to help you develop new personal growth skills to maintain the levels of wellness and happiness you will experience following your Iboga treatment. Sometimes people who come to the Iboga House require two, or in some rare cases, three journeys before they leave, in order to fully heal and to achieve everything they need from the experience. The beauty is that Moughenda will always know what you need through the messages he receives directly from spirits. You can rest assured that you are always safe and receiving exactly what you need when you come to the Iboga house.

During your stay, you will also enjoy some fun activities, including: Visits to the beautiful beach, the local spa, massages ($40/Hour), zip lining, horseback riding, swimming in a volcanic hot springs, taking a mud bath and swimming in a beautiful river. Everything above is included except massages.
